Frager’s Leases Former Restaurant for Paint Outlet – Hopes to Open in Weeks

The former il Capo de Capitol Hill (and before that, Mi Vecindad) has been leased by Fragers’ to temporarily house their paint store – reportedly, the most profitable of the hardware store’s diverse operations. The building, at 12th and Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, anchors the east end of the block where the original Frager’s store is. On Wednesday, workmen were clearing the site in anticipation of stocking and opening – possibly in as few as three weeks.

WELCOME! I would eat just about anything Fragers’ paint store sold before eating anything its predecessors served.
Laughing. Although I found Pacific Grill pretty good, as long as I ordered carefully. I’m glad that they are now selling a few items at the pizza place a few doors down (terrible pizza, though). I concur about the Salvadorean/Mexican/Italian(?) places. Lots of heart, but really not great food.
you’re right. . . I would eat at PG before Fragers paint 🙂 I was only talking about the Salvadorean/Mexican/Italian(?) joints which proceeded PG
