ANC6B Executive Committee meets at 7:00pm, in Hill Center, 921 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE, to set the agenda for the January 10 meeting of the full ANC6B. This will be the first meeting of the new ANC6B following the November election. Owing to the retirement of Commissioner Daniel Chao, ANC6B o7, there will be one new commissioner – Aimee Grace. The ANC6B will elect new officers at the meeting.
I walked by the Shotgun House yesterday and it was gone. Already looks better.
The Shotgun House will soon be a $950,000 residence for affluent professionals. I hear that irony is the hottest new home accessory.
What’s the irony? That a derelict useless undevelopable shotgun house is being turned into a nearly $1 million capital asset and contributior to the city’s tax base? The real question is what in the world took so long? I mean, is anyone seriously sorry to see this thing go? It is wonderful to see ths thing gone –good riddance!
