Thanks for a great report – we stayed and watched on channel 32 and heard the speakers until about 11:45 and then went to the area across from the HHS building – it is too bad not many people knew that the whole day’s events were on that channel and not on any other channels.
It did get too crowded as we approached the indian museum so we doubled back and up independence to the capitol grounds where there was an amazing parade of Mexican stilted figures that proceeded down 2nd street- I could not find anyone who knew what group produced them- we passed John Kerry and shook hands as he passed headed toward the crown. It was an amazing event and I only saw the one red hatted men near the HHS building who were chatting up what was unnatural behavior. It was the most amazing march (turned gathering because of the crowds) I have ever experienced in this city since the 60’s. Joyce and Floyd
