    Why hasn’t anyone explained why the farmers’ line must close at 1pm? What health risks are being avoided by forcing market customers into going during a shorter period of time? While we can all speculate and proudly express our respective opinions about the rationale, this kind of seemingly arbitrary decision without any explanation (much less one with a solid apolitical, science-based foundation) does nothing but generate suspicions about the validity of other aspects of the city’s covid-19 protection program and non-compliance.

      Arbitrary decision making is a hallmark of Eastern Market’s management. No additional explanation is necessary.
