The Week Ahead…and Some Photos from the Week Past

There’s been progress on Murillo/Malnati Development ‘s four story 45 unit residential development at 818 Potomac Avenue, SE. The project, designed by Capitol Hill-based PGN Architects, overlooks Virginia Avenue Community Garden across the street to the east.
The Fridge, at 516 Barracks Row (rear alley) has some new paint, by Decoy.
Little Pearl, at Hill Center, has set up an impressive encampment of outdoor dining tents.
Here’s a view of Shelter, the new beer garden at The Roost, 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue, SE. They’ve been open a couple of weeks.
And here’s the progress on construction of the Inauguaral platform on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol this past week. The shape of the tiered seating inaugual stand is taking shape. Construction of the media stands – over the stairs on the left for radio broadcasters and over the stairs on the right for television camera has begun.
