Last Chance to See CHAL Exhibit:  Abstract – CHAL Members Juried Exhibition

Capitol Hill Art League (CHAL) members were invited to delve into the abstract, by sharing artwork that does not attempt to represent external reality, but seeks to achieve its effects using shapes, forms, lines, colors. The exhibition was juried by Kelly MacConomy.

The show runs to August 22, 2026, at, Capitol Hill Arts Workshop, 545 7th Street, SE.

Congressional Cemetery – Battle of Bladensburg Wreath Laying Ceremony with the District of Columbia National Guard

10:00am – 11:00am | Free

On August 23, please join Historic Congressional Cemetery in collaboration with the District of Columbia National Guard for a Battle of Bladensburg commemoration beginning at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will honor the dozens of D.C. Militia members buried at Congressional Cemetery who fought in the battle.
